The first harvest of Feteasca Neagra at
Recas has produced an unusual example
of this the most renowned Romanian red
traditional variety. A modern approach
with a bouquet of red fruits, a bright
purple colour this is a very young wine,
but one that can already be consumed
with pleasure. Medium bodied and
refined, whit spicey notes typical of the
variety, touch of delicate oak from
maturation in Romanian oak barrels.
Open half an hour before serving with
all traditional Romanian foods.
The most famous Romanian red variety- is a relative newcomer to the vineyards of Recas, but has made an impressive start. This wine has a powerful spicey aroma with notes of vanilla from 1 year maturation in fine American oak. Dark colour and full bodied , best suited to strong meat dishes, matched perfectly with smooth tannins and a long finish. Something interesting.
