Silver Medal le Mondial du Rose Paris 2012 for Castel Huniade - Rose 2011

A pink rose colour, with delicate and feminine aroma of cherry blossom cherry jam and notes of petals and rose jam. The flavours surprise with a meaty note - full round and with sweet notes balanced by a well integrated acidity, and backed up by notes of red and sour cherry and a hint of citrus fruits. The finish is long with sweet touches, balanced between a velvety texture and a refreshing acidity. Serve well cooled!
Castel Huniade - one of the most important historical landmarks of Timisoara was built in 1447 by Ioan de Hunedoara. It is the same year when Recas vineyards were first documented in a contract where Ioan and Ecateriana Magyar purchased the vineyards from Mihail de Ciorna for 32 gold forints.
The Castle is now the home of the Banat Museum,- an impressive collection of art and artifacts from the rich history of this region, including a newly restored museum of wine, supported by Cramele Recas.
